A hands-on workshop titled “AI Tools in Education: ChatGPT for educators & AI-Powered Slide Preparations” was held on March 25, 2025 at SRM University-AP as a part of the Year of Innovations in Teaching and Learning initiative. The workshop was conducted by Dr Manikandan, Assistant Professor CSE, and Mr Johny Basha, Assistant Professor CSE.
The workshop explored how ChatGPT can be used ethically for lesson planning, content creation, and question paper generation. It also talked about the advanced features of ChatGPT Pro and how AI features like the Gaama tool can be used in creating interactive AI-generated presentations.
The session helped participants gain a better understanding of how AI tools can be used in the context of education and develop practical skills like using ChatGPT for content and assessment design, along with other AI tools for slide creation.
All the attendees, including faculty and Ph.D. Scholars gained a newfound interest in AI technologies and their application in teaching and learning methods.
