Financial Assistance

We encourage the participants to find financial assistance from their own institutions or from other funding agencies. However, depending upon the availability of funds, we may be able to provide partial support to some of the participants.

Who is eligible to apply for financial assistance?

To apply for financial assistance from the organisers, the participant must have contributed to the conference in one of the following ways:

1. submitted an abstract for a paper or poster on one of the themes of the conference

2. submitted a summary of a couple of research papers (published in peer reviewed journals) with your comments and reflections, on one of the conference themes

3. contributing to one of the review panels

How to apply for financial assistance?

Those who seek partial financial assistance for attending the conference must send in an application to the convenor of the conference with the following details:

  • Full Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Name of the institution and your current position (if applicable)
  • Details of your contribution to the conference. If you have submitted a paper, poster or a summary, please give the file name as given in the file you submitted.
  • A statement on what support you are getting from your institution or a funding agency (if applicable) and what you support you seek from the conference organisers
  • A letter from your advisor (in the case of PhD scholars or Post-Doctoral Fellows) or the HoD /Dean attesting your statement and recommending your application for financial assistance (if applicable).

Documents required to support your claims

Please note that the university would require supporting documents for all the claims you make. So please preserve the following documents and submit them if you are eligible to get a partial reimbursement:

  • Air tickets and boarding passes (only for air travel within India)
  • Train / bus tickets
  • Proof of Taxi /auto fare paid
  • Receipts of the registration fee you paid

Kindly note that the university may provide partial support for air- travel only for faculty members. PhD students and Post- Doctoral Fellow may get partial support for 3AC train travel or equivalent.
Preference will be given to those who are without any earning at the time of applying for financial assistance.
